I live in Tokyo, near Kappabashi Dougu-gai, Japan’s largest kitchenware and tableware wholesale district. Kama Japan is where I share honest, hands-on guides to authentic Japanese tableware and ceramics for readers outside Japan who want to buy the real thing without guessing.

I visit the shops myself, compare pieces in person, and write about what’s actually worth buying, not just what shows up first on Amazon.
